| Always someone who enjoys nature, Alan's exposure to Edisto Island, the setting for many of his paintings, was very early ... probably about 6 months before birth. He's been a frequent visitor of that special low country place ever since. At age 42, inspired by a co-worker, Alan picked up a brush ... something he tried early in life but had little patience for ... and began to render images of the natural beauty around him. Mostly scenes of Edisto, the gallery is growing to include works of places closer to home near ...Asheville, North Carolina, a place with its own share of natural beauty.
At the present time, Alan does not sell his works but he's researching the different methods for printing and may offer his work on 4 color litho or Giclée. Stay tuned!
